Turkey Melt

Yup. Just arrange the sandwiches on your toaster oven’s pan and set it to broil. Keep an eye on the sandwiches and flip them once the top is golden-brown. Depending on your toaster oven’s power, it may or may not take longer than doing them in a skillet. You can also use your air fryer, or prep sandwiches for your whole crew using a full-sized sheet pan and your main oven’s broiler.

Ingredients

    • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
    • 4 slices sourdough bread
    • 1/4 cup canned chopped green chiles
    • 1/4 pound thinly sliced deli turkey
    • 1/4 cup shredded Colby-Monterey Jack cheese
    • 1 tablespoon butter, softened

Directions

    1. Spread mayonnaise over two slices of bread. Layer with green chiles, turkey and cheese. Top with remaining bread. Spread outsides of sandwiches with butter.
    2. In a large skillet, toast sandwiches over medium heat until golden brown and cheese is melted, 1-2 minutes on each side.
